Many golf courses are within a short distance from the hotel. For the avid golfer, no trip to Portland would be complete without visiting Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course or The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Course, two courses famous for hosting professional events.

BROADMOOR GOLF
Broadmoor Golf Course is a 6404 yard par 72 that spreads over 220 acres of beautiful land with a variety of interesting hazards. Undulating fairways, a variety of trees, green side bunkers, and the Broadmoor Lake and slough provide plenty of challenge throughout the course. Both high and low handicapper's will find this course a pleasurable experience.

HERON LAKES
Heron Lakes Golf Course was opened for public play in 1971. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and is located off of I-5 next to the Portland International Raceway. It was named after the Blue Herons that inhabit the many lakes and ponds around the course. There are two courses, the Great Blue and the Green Back. The Great Blue has been rated for years as the most difficult course in the Portland Area. It is a links style course with water, tall rough, narrow fairways, and sand everywhere. Most fairways on the Great Blue narrow to small greens that roll and pitch in several directions. The Green Back is similar to the Great Blue except it has more trees and fewer fairway bunkers. It also ranks as one of Portland's most difficult.

CLAREMONT
The 9-hole Claremont Golf Course is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Claremont Golf Course measures 3077 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 132 and a 37.9 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.

COLWOOD
Colwood National Golf Course lies between Columbia Blvd. and the Portland International Airport. The Columbia River slough runs across several of the relatively flat and narrow tree lined fairways. The greens are well maintained with bunkers an land contours to make the course challenging.

FAIRWAY VILLAGE GOLF COURSE
Fairway Village Golf Course is an interesting 9–hole course in Vancouver, Washington with tree lined fairways and well bunkered greens. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an 18–hole round. Water comes into play on two holes. Junior discounts and special green fee rates are available for out of towners.
